From 2011 to 2014, I had the pleasure of working as an Art Director at Leagas Delaney in Hamburg. One of my favorite projects was helping to co-develop the Followfish brand. We crafted some truly unique campaigns and a distinct brand language that shone through in both the design and the overall brand presence.

Swimming against the tide

The world’s fisheries are exploited to the limit. That’s why followfish is 100% committed to sustainable fishing — and especially comprehensive education. We developed a unique look for our client and used it for corporate materials, the website, a brand book, fair equipment and finally a brand film.

TunaTunes

Germany's sustainable fish brand followfish now even has tinned tuna in its range. The extraordinary thing: It´s caught by hand in the Maldives. This centuries-old fishing method saves thousands of jobs locally and practically avoids bycatch and overfishing. Making it probably the most sustainable tinned tuna in the world – and that's what the world should get to know about.

To emphasize the exceptional sustainability we even recycled the tin and built a ukulele out of it. Thus we demonstrate with music that eating tuna can be fun again.
